Message From President Alex Brown:
Welcome to the new homepage of the SDSU Students' Association!
The Students’ Association is the student government at SDSU. We serve as the student voice with SDSU, the City of Brookings, the Board of Regents, and the State of South Dakota. We work to improve the student experience here at State. Over the years, the Students’ Association has worked on projects like the new Wellness Center (set to open Fall 2008!), the Safe Ride Home program, the recycling program, and many others.
We have been working hard this year on a variety of projects. We have created committees to look at sustainability issues, a Technology Committee to provide student input into how your technology fees are spent, and a Housing Task Force working to improve the quality of housing in Brookings.
Our job is to represent you. All the projects the Students’ Association has worked on comes from your ideas. Do you have a concern or an issue you feel strongly about? Now is your time to make a difference. Nominations for the Students’ Association Senate are now open! Stop by our office in the Union, room 140A (across from Java City) and talk to us about running for a seat on the Senate. The student voice can be one of the most powerful influences on campus, but we need to hear it! Pick up a packet, run for office, and make a difference!
Alex Brown
Students’ Association President
