The AAPS-South Dakota State University student chapter was established in October 2005 with the primary objective of promoting student participation in AAPS activities at the local, regional and national levels and increasing student awareness of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences with opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development. Already, the chapter’s members come from vast educational backgrounds, including pharmacy, biology and microbiology.  Current chapter activities focus on increasing awareness of career options in the pharmaceutical sciences. The chapter will also be implementing professional development workshops to help students prepare for their future career.
